Mabee is proud to be a Patriot

Mississauga’s Cameron Mabee was one of nine new faces added to the Francis Marion University men’s soccer team for the 2008 school year.
The 5-foot-9, 155-pound Mabee joins the Florence, South Carolina school after graduating from Cawthra Park Secondary School where he was the soccer team’s captain.
The midfielder was also a member of the Ontario Cup-winning Erin Mills Eagles’ under-17 team.
In joining the Patriots of Francis Marion University, Mabee is reunited with former Erin Mills teammate Ivan Juric.
“He can play a number of positions and that versatility was a very attractive attribute to us,” said Patriots’ coach Kevin Varnado.
The Patriots play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s  Division 2, Peach Belt Conference against schools from Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
