Paddling to gold in the Yukon
PERTH - In the late 1800s, prospectors made the long, arduous journey to the Yukon in search of gold. More than 100 years later, Canadians are still finding their way to gold in the territory, just ask Gaetan Plourde. Of course, Plourde needed no mine or pick-axe to earn his golden prize, just a canoe, a paddle and a will to win.
