A group of fundraisers has already generated $14,000 for the fight against breast cancer, and it needs help from the public to reach its goal of $18,000.
The team, led by Tristan Campus, who's general manager of The Manchester Arms in Meadowvale, is hosting an event Sunday at the pub to raise the final $4,000. The funds will go to The Campbell Family Institute at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
Running from noon-5 p.m., the fundraiser will feature a dunk tank set up in the parking lot and an outdoor patio.
The event will raise funds for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer fundraiser, running Sept. 5-7 in Toronto. Proceeds from that will be donated to The Campbell Family Institute.
