Cutting Edge music

A trio of bands with ties to Mississauga have been added to the line-up at the Cutting Edge Music Festival.
Electronic outfit MSTRKRFT will be joined by illScarlett and The End at the festival, which runs Aug. 3-6 at the Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, Ontario. It will be hosted by 102.1 The Edge radio personalities Josie Dye and Barry Taylor.
Other bands on the bill include Alexisonfire, Moneen, Protest The Hero, Social Code, The Junction, Ten Second Epic, The Reason and Attack In Back, among others.
"Events of this scale don't exist in Ontario anymore," said festival co-founder Ryan Kruger. "An outdoor summer rock festival of this magnitude has almost become extinct. This is a great use of the long weekend."
Tickets cost $34 per day or $88 for a four-day pass. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
