The News puts you 'infocus'

Like to see your events in pictures?
Next Wednesday, The Mississauga News is launching “infocus,” a daily publication that aims to capture all the city’s happenings — but in glorious photographs only.
“It’ll be like a family album of Mississauga,” said Judy Imerson, director of editorial for The News. “We’ll be going around the city taking photos of events and the pictures will be on-line for all to see.”
All you have to do is go to http://infocus.mississauga.com and click on a photo. Instantly, other photos of the same event will pop up.
And, just like a family album, nothing will be too minor for our crack team of photographers to focus their lens on. They’ll be like Uncle Bob with his new camera at the birthday party, only more professional.
“We’ll be covering everything large and small— from the Mayor’s Gala to school events to minor hockey games. The focus will be on the people of Mississauga,” said Imerson.
Because the Mississauga family is so large, we’ll be depending on you to let us know what’s going on. And once the photos are published, they’ll be available for sale. That way, you can create your own album.
infocus comes on the heels of two new products launched recently by The News. Our daily e-paper (http://today.mississauga.com) made its debut on Sept. 12, and just last week we introduced News on Demand, a video segment that’s refreshed throughout the day.
