EcoSource and the Peel Environmental Youth Alliance (PEYA) will celebrate Earth Day tomorrow afternoon with musical and dramatic performances at the Mississauga Central Library Square.
There will also be visual art on display in the Earth Beat event that runs from 2-7 p.m.
Ecosource is dedicated to empowering the community towards an environmentally responsible lifestyle, while PEYA is a network of action-oriented students working to save the planet.
“Earth Beat is intended to elevate youth voices on environmental awareness, and to provide a space for young artists to learn from established, environmentally conscious artists,” said Natalyn Tremblay, the secondary schools coordinator for EcoSource.
Earth Beat is a family event that offers a variety of arts workshops, vendors, food, performances by emerging and established artists and other activities, all geared towards raising awareness and celebrating the Earth.
