Early morning rollover closes highway

One person was taken to hospital by air ambulance following a single-vehicle rollover in Mississauga just before 3 a.m. this morning.
The accident happened in the southbound lanes of Hwy. 410 south of Hwy. 407.
According to the OPP, one car was headed south when it appears slippery conditions caused the driver to lose control and flip over.
OPP Sgt. Nathan Hele said both fire and ambulance crews responded immediately with officers closing all southbound lanes and diverting traffic to Derry Rd.
Not much is known on the condition of the driver who was taken via helicopter to a nearby trauma centre.
This is the second serious rollover in Mississauga in less than a week. Five 20-year-old girls were seriously injured early Friday morning when the Nissan Sentra they were travelling in slammed into a guardrail on the eastbound 401 transfer lanes near Dixie Rd.
Two of the passengers in that crash were ejected as the car rolled repeatedly into the ditch between the express and collector lanes.
