Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today in Drummond/North Elmsley Township to fill the vacant North Elmsley seat.
The vacancy became necessary when Charlotte Reed resigned her seat in July. She died from cancer that August.
The three candidates seeking to fill the ward seat are Russell Foster, Peter Wagland and Ted Letts. Foster had held the seat up until the October 2010 municipal election when he was defeated by Reed.
