Taking to the streets against bullying

St. Francis de Sales students speak out

Students from St. Francis de Sales Catholic Elementary School took to the streets on Thursday, Nov. 15 to take a stand against bullying.

The rally led the kids, with a police escort most of the way, down Elmsley Street, on to Chambers Street, and right through the downtown core along Beckwith Street, before turning on to Russell Street East.

Many of the students held up hand-made signs, some in French, to highlight their commitment to end bullying. Leading the parade were two large banners bearing the pledge the students had taken to call out bullies when they saw bullying taking place.
