9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to participate in the South East
Regional Program's Screen for Life ColonCancerCheck Photo Booth.
The event will take place:
Smiths Falls Site - Tuesday, March 19, 2013
GWM Site - Wednesday, March 20, 2013
The booth will include several interactive elements and the well-known "Invisible Man".
At the booth the public will be asked to make a pledge to get screened or talk to a loved
one about cancer screening. Each person will also receive a printed ColonCancerCheck photo to commemorate their pledge.
The back of the photo will include information about cancer screening.
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
The South East Regional Cancer Program and Cancer Care Ontario are launching a month long colorectal cancer awareness campaign.
The objective is to increase colorectal cancer screening rates.
This is done through increased awareness of the importance of colorectal cancer screening and encouraging
eligible Ontarians to get screened.
