UPDATE: Missing man, 85, found in North Frontenac

NORTH FRONTENAC - OPP have located 85-year-old Larry Payne, who was reported missing in North Frontenac Township on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

Payne was reported missing from his North Frontenac home around 7:30 p.m.Wednesday, Oct. 6.

 Police called in a helicopter to search for Payne, who was located standing beside he truck on a dirt road approximately 1 kilometre from his North Frontenac home.

He was taken to the Perth site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital for assessment and observation, said Lanark County OPP detachment commander Insp. Gerry Salisbury.

 He left home in his 1998 red Ford F150 pickup truck with Ontario licence plate 9550DY. It is believed the truck has half a tank of gas.

Payne has limited vision and there were concerns for his health. He had no money or credit cards and likely no identification when he left home.
