Cards replace stones at Richmond Curling Club

RICHMOND - It’s a curling club but more than just the curling stones are played there. Every Monday evening cards are being dealt and laid down as the Richmond Agricultural Society is holding a series of four-hand euchre parties, all at the Richmond Curling Club lounge in Richmond.

The euchre parties are being held from now through to Monday, March 29, starting at 7:30 p.m. each Monday with everyone welcome to attend and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship playing euchre. There are prizes and refreshments, just to add to the enjoyment of the evening.

On Monday, Feb. 22, Dot Gifford and Clare Porter had the most lone hands.

High score winners were Kathy Kelly, Jackie Ralph, Lynn Jones, Joe Kelly, Ken Campbell and George Murphy.

The “Share the Wealth” winners were Dot Gifford, Marilyn Davis and Barb Lewis.

On Monday, Feb. 15, the high score winners were Joyce Cook, Heather Murphy, Lynn Jones, John Dawson, Sam Saunders and Bruce Crabtree.

“Share the Wealth” winners were George Murphy, Kathy Kelly and Clarence Seabrooke while Jackie Ralph and Gerald Lefebvre had the most lone hands.
