The Brockville Braves proved to be too much for the Canadians to handle Friday night.

Though Carleton Place held a 1-0 lead through the first period in front of nearly 900 fans in Brockville, it would be the Braves who would take the 7-2 win.

Zach Allen put the Canadians on the board not long after the opening faceoff.

The Braves would rally in the middle period with Shayne Thompson getting two past Canadians’ goaltender Morgan Barr.

Carleton Place would answer with a goal from Rusty Hafner, but the Braves’ Maxime  Dumond would have the final goal of the period.

The third period belonged to the Braves.

Brockville would net four unanswered goals with Mark Williamson scoring twice. Colin McLean and Zach Zaremba would get credit for the sixth and seventh goals.

The Braves would outshoot the Canadians 41-20 on the night.

Carleton Place plays the Kemptville 73’s tonight (Nov. 28) at 7:30 p.m.
