The Canadians recorded two losses over the weekend, both at
the hands of the Pembroke Lumber Kings.
A 6-3 defeat Sunday afternoon came on the heels of a 3-1
loss Friday night.
Though both the Canadians and Lumber Kings had 11 shots in
the opening period of Sunday’s game, Pembroke managed to rack up a 3-0 lead.
They would continue the pressure in the second, scoring
another three unanswered goals.
Zach Rodier, with
assists from Luke Martin and Samuel Coyne, would get the Canadians
on the board about half-way through the second period.
About nine minutes later, Brock Plouffe made the score 6-2 with help from Richard Stethem
and Rusty Hafner.
Carleton Place’s
Robbie Lepine would get one more
goal for the Canadians in the final minute of the game. Assists went to Zach
Allen and Ryan Lowe.
Pembroke would outshoot Carleton Place 40-32 for the 6-3 victory.

The Canadians fared much better Friday night in front of the
hometown crowd.
Pembroke would get the only goal of the first period, but
the two would trade goals in the second frame.
The Carleton
Place marker came from Matt English with an assist from Samuel Coyne.
Going into the third period and down 2-1, Pembroke would
score the game winner with 12 minutes left on the clock.
The Lumber Kings would outshoot the Canadians 28-21
What’s next
The Canadians’ next game is in Ottawa on Dec. 16.
On Dec. 18 in Kemptville, the Canadians play Cornwall in the league’s
Winter Showcase. Carleton Place
faces Gloucester
in the next night of the showcase.
