Ottawa Region Drought
Hot, dry weather continues to plague Eastern Ontario. The dry summer has led to area brush fires and is taking its toll on farmers. On July 13, 2012 the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority announced the area was under Level II drought, calling on residents along the watershed to voluntarily reduce their water use by 20 per cent.
